"I hope the court will arrive at a fear decision on Haji Mammadov and his criminal gang," Azerbaijani Interior Minister Ramil Usubov told journalists.

The Minister does not agree to Mammadov's testimony upon the trial that some gang members are still free, APA reports.

"Everyone has his own interest concerning this case. You can expect everything from such a person like Haji Mammadov, who killed his fellow officer," Mr.Usubov said.

The minister confessed he has some signals of Haji Mammadov's crime.

"The investigation into the crime was conducted directly by prosecutor's bodies. We seem not to be aware of the Ministry officers' crimes in time," he said.

Usubov gave unambiguous response to the question "Is there further investigation to avoid such cases in the Ministry?"

"There are thousands of police officers. Everything is possible. Of course, as a Minister, I want all police officers to respect laws. Naturally, negative cases occur in such a large staff. The main thing is the Ministry is strongly struggling against such cases. Establishment of the Interior Investigation Department in the Ministry last year was not accidental. Its activity was effective. The department aimed to find criminals among police bodies. We managed to expose some police officers. They have been dismissed, and their cases are in the in prosecutor's bodies."

The Minister said 20 police officers were dismissed in the past seven months of this year.
