"We intend to implement serious measures for the Foreign Ministry's Diplomatic Academy to meet modern standards," Hafiz Pashayev, who has been appointed president of the Diplomatic Academy under President Ilham Aliyev's executive order, told journalists.

Mr.Pashayev said opening of new embassies of Azerbaijan in foreign states increased the need for diplomats. Therefore, it is important to form diplomatic corps that meets international standards.

Pashayev said he cannot give detailed information on the measures to be implemented at initial stage expressing hope the educational institution will be successful soon, APA reports.
