"The main aim of my participation as an observer in the local elections in Georgia is to prepare a report on Georgia's attitude to national minorities, as well as Azerbaijanis," said Sabina Freizer, the director of International Crisis Group South Caucasus Project.
She told APA Georgian bureau the report will be presented in November. Mrs. Freizer said she will try to reflect all positive and negative points of pre-election and election period. "Pre-election propaganda was very weak. Some Azerbaijanis did not know what they vote for. The protocols brought to election commissions at the end of the day were not classified. I hope those who committed irregularities in the elections will be punished," she said. The director did not touch the details of the items concerning Azerbaijanis. "Azerbaijanis are densely populated in Kevmo Kartli region of Georgia. But have no representatives in official circles. I think the problem is that they do not know Georgian language. These problems will be included in the report," Freizer said.
