Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev within his visit to western regions of Azerbaijan was in Gadabay today.
The President first visited Heydar Aliyev monument in the centre of Gadabay. He stated at the meeting with residents that there are favorable conditions in Gadabay to improve tourism. Speaking of the rapid economic development the President stressed that 500 000 new jobs were created and over 700 school buildings were built during past three years. The President said modern medical and diagnostic centers will be opened in Gazakh and Ganja, APA reports. "We pay great attention to the development of entrepreneurship in the country. US $200mn is spent on it. We try to raise pensions and the minimum salary of teachers and health servants. One of the main points of economic development is to achieve the development in agriculture. Unfortunately, requirements for foodstuffs are not provided by local production totally. But local production has grown recently," the President said. He also gave instructions concerning the construction of Shamkir-Gadabay road to the Transport Minister Ziya Mammmadov. After the meeting the President got acquainted with the Geological Museum and visited Gadabay Olympic Sport Complex. The President met with the members of local Russian community. The visit to Gadabay ended.
