On November 3, President Ilham Aliyev received credentials from Javid Gureysh, the newly appointed Ambassador Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary of Pakistan to Azerbaijan.
After the official ceremony of presenting credentials, there was a short conversation between them. President Aliyev congratulated Ambassador Gureysh on the start of his diplomatic activity in Azerbaijan. He described Azerbaijan-Pakistan relations as intensively developing in many fields, noting that the two countries are closely cooperating within international organizations, as well. The Azeri leader expressed satisfaction with the countries' mutual support in connection with the Nagorno-Karabakh and Kashmir problems. Ambassador Javid Gureysh conveyed to President Ilham Aliyev greetings from his Pakistani counterpart Pervez Musharraf. He said he would do his best to contribute to strengthening of strategic partnership between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.
