Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Monitoring Committee co-reporters George Colombier and Mikko Elo have already worked out a report on Armenia's commitments before the CE.
PACE delegation member Mikko Elo told APA that the report would be discussed at the winter session of the PACE on January 23. No recommendation related to the Nagorno Karabakh conflict was included in the report. "Only preliminary variant of the report includes some recommendations on peaceful settlement of the conflict," he said. Mikko Elo stated that Yerevan hasn't implemented the majority of commitments taken before the CE. "There are number of non-implemented commitments. Freedom of speech and media hasn't been ensured, political party legislation doesn't meet standards and there is a tense situation in democracy and human rights in Armenia," he added.
