05 May 2007 [12:47] - Today.Az
The planned bilateral security talks between Azerbaijan and the US are not expected to take place this month.

Negotiations are being carried out through diplomatic channels to reschedule the high-level meeting, US public affairs officer Jonathan Henick told the APA.

Mr. Henick said the bilateral security talks are due next months because of the busy working schedule of US officials, who are to participate in the talks.

Official Baku refused to participate at the security talks scheduled for April 23 in Washington, as US State Department changed the language of the initial 2006 country reports on human rights practices.

The State Department later on restored the first version of the report.
