A court hearing on the case of the head of the Center for Combat with International Terrorism and Corruption Rovshan Novruzoglu was held today in the Court of Grave Crimes, chaired by judge Alekper Guliyev.
The due information was provided by defender of the political scientist Tofiq Allahverdiyev.
According to the defender, the prosecutor read a bill of indictment, which fixes the fact of misappropriation of Fikret Guseynov's $115,000 by R.Novruzoglu.
Victim F.Guseynov addressing the trial said while giving testimonies that he had given $115,000 to a person, whose name was Ilham Abbasov, with an intention to buy land.
Thus the process will continue at 10:00 a.m. on December 28.
It should be noted that R.Novruzoglu faces charges under articles 320.1 (falsification of a certificate or any other official document, granting the right or releasing from obligations), 320.2 (deliberate use of falsified documents), 310 (appropriation of powers of officials) of the Criminal Cose on basis of an appeal from the Baku city Administration to Prosecutor General's Office.
The Nasimi District Court selected a preventive measure in a form of a two month arrest. The term has later been prolonged for a month. He is kelp in the investigation ward of the Ministry of National Security.
