Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Elmar Mamedyarov received head of the European Commission in our country Alan Waddams.
The due announcement was made by the press service for Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry.
Waddams handed copies of credentials to the Minister and noted that Azerbaijan has wide development prospects and works on the projects connected with transport and communications will continue in cooperation with the European Union.
Mamedyarov informed Waddams that Azerbaijan will make greater efforts for development of relations with the European Union in the framework of the neighborhood policy.
Touching upon the cooperation and existing competition on the energy market, the Minister stressed need for EU member-states taking a single position in energy policy.
Moreover, the minister noted that Azerbaijan may contribute to development of relations of the European Union with the Middle Asian countries.
