MP Fazil Gazanfaroghlu drew attention of his colleagues to the problem of imprisoned reporters at a session today.
In his speech, the deputy drew parallels between the current situation and arrested Alikram Humbetov, Suret Huseynov and others.
"An opinion has formed in a certain period that the release of these people may create any problems for Azerbaijan. However, life showed that this has nothing to do with the reality and they did not pose a threat for Azerbaijan following the release.
The same can be applied to imprisoned reporters. They are less dangerous for Azerbaijan when free rather than when in prison. I hope this opinion prevails in our country and the imprisoned reporters will be released", he said.
