Presidents of Azerbaijan and Russia Ilham Aliyev and Dmitri Medvedev met in Saint Petersburg.

Presidents of Azerbaijan and Russia Ilham Aliyev and Dmitri Medvedev had a friendly and sincere talk, said assistant for Russian President Sergey Prikhodko.
"A very sincere, open and friendly talk was held with the President of Azerbaijan and not only political dialogue but also serious achievements in the trade and economic cooperation were highly evaluated", noted he, reports Vzqlyad with referece to ITAR-TASS.
Prikhodko said the commodity turnover is growing between the sides and its structure is improving. The Kremlin representative noted that Moscow values importance, which Azerbaijan attaches to humanitarian cooperation, support of Russian language and culture:.
"The Presidents also paid attention to the fuel and energy sector, touched upon the issues of agriculture, the extremely urgent food program and the situation in the region", said Prikhodko.
"The President of Azerbaijan shared his impressions about the previously held meeting with the President of Armenia", said the assistant for the Russian leader.

Russian President Dmitri Medvedev will visit Azerbaijan on July 3-4, said assistant of the Russian President Sergey Prikhodko by results of the meeting of the heads of two states, according to Novosti-Azerbaijan.
"Medvedev confirmed the agreement to pay official visit to Azerbaijan on July 3-4", said Prikhodko.
He noted that the governments of the two countries were instructed to prepare a number of documents on the forthcoming visit.

"I will be able to visit Baku in early July to discuss issues of cooperation", said the President of Russia.
It should be noted that in May Aliyev congratulated Medvedev with inauguration and invited him to visit Azerbaijan.
The Russian President announced that he will also visit Ashkhabad in early July.
Medvedev also said there are numerous projects in which Russia and Azerbaijan are cooperating.
In turn President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev announced that the relations between the two countries are at the start of a new stage.
"I hope further development of our relations will be as positive as previously", noted Aliyev.
President of Azerbaijan also noted that the relations between Russia and Azerbaijan are featured as partner relations.
I.Aliyev drew attention to the wide format of cooperation and activeness of interaction.
