By results of an express poll of independent research center ELS, 86.3% of respondents are ready to vote for the candidate from the ruling party Yeni Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev during the October 15 presidential elections, according to the press service for the center.
The next on the list is candidate from Umid party, its chairman Iqbal Aghazade, who gained 2.3% votes. The third place is occupied by chairman of the United Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan Qudrat Hasanquliyev, gaining 1.1% votes.
Chairman of Muasir Musavat party Hafiz Hajiyev, gaining the fourth place in the rating of candidates, got 0.9% of votes. The same number of respondents called chairman of the Great Creation party Fazil Qazanfaroghlu to be their favorite.
Qulamhuseyn Alibeyli, nominating his candidate as a private initiative, took the sixth place, gaining 0.6% of votes.
The last place in the list is taken by chairman of the Liberal-Democratic Party of Azerbaijan Fuad Aliyev with 0.5% votes.
1.5% of respondents preferred to keep their choice a secret, 1.6% of respondent have not decided about their participation in the votes, while 4.3% of respondents, participating in the poll, decided not to take part in the elections.
The independent research center ELS held the said poll from September 16 to September 25 on the territory of Azerbaijan. The poll covered 12,500 respondents.
