07 October 2008 [09:21] - Today.Az
"These TV debates are differing greatly from the speeches of the candidates in period of 2003 presidential elections ethically and culturally", said chairman of the United Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan and presidential candidate Qudrat Hasanquliyev.

He said the presidential elections are held in a civilian form.

"Even if the candidates criticize each others, they do not use coarse accusations and harsh words.

Moreover, the mass tearing off placards of interference of some persons into the agitation campaign is not observed this time.

Naturally, there are negative moments during these elections. In particular, the opportunities of the candidates to inform the voters about the platform via e-mass media has been reduced greatly. Private channels refused to allocate an air time for the candidates. We are provided air time only for transmission of ads, but not for speeches", noted he.
