Georgia more than doubled the import of passenger cars from China in January-May this year, Azernews reports.

It is reported that in January-May of this year, Georgia imported 1,100 passenger cars from China with a total value of $ 18.6 million, which is 116 percent more than in the same period of 2023.

In addition, during the reporting period, Georgia imported 492 trucks from China worth $19.9 million. This is 139 percent more than in the same period last year.

At the same time, Georgia purchased 83 units of special-purpose equipment from China in the amount of 6.6 million dollars, which is 186 percent more than in the same period last year.

In addition, China intends to open a car market in Georgia.

Only Chinese-made cars will be sold on the market.
