07 December 2024 [18:51] - Today.Az
The majority of MPs from the ruling Citizen Power party walked out of the plenary session of parliament where the vote on the president's impeachment was being held, Azernews reports, citing South Korean media outlets. This move by the ruling party is seen as an attempt to boycott the vote on the impeachment of President Yeon Seok-yol. The vote of 200 out of 300 deputies is sufficient to impeach the president. The ruling party currently holds 108 seats in parliament.
