15 January 2010 [08:37] - Today.Az
Georgia for the first time intends to officially announce new routes of transportation of Caspian gas to Europe, Georgian Prime Minister Nika Gilauri told reporters in Batumi on Jan. 14.
"We will for the first time present new routes for transportation of gas through Georgia to Romania, Bulgaria and Ukraine," he said, stressing that the new projects of gas transit "have great prospects."
Georgian Prime Minister also stressed that, of course, the Nabucco project will be discussed today. "This project already has international support and will be implemented, but for us, it is important to search for new alternative transport routes to diversify energy supplies of the Caspian Sea and Asia to Europe," he said.
