Rumors about a planned government reshuffle are getting stronger in Armenia.
Among the first top-ranking officials to be replaced are the Armenian Prosecutor General, Chief of the National Security Service, Chief of the Police and a number of ministers.
Armenian Ombudsman Armen Harutyunyan is expected to replace Aghvan Hovsepyan as Prosecutor General, Arzuman Harutyunyan, brother of Constitutional Court Chairman Gagik Harutyunyan and Chief of the Yerevan Department of the National Security Service, is likely to be appointed Chief of the National Security Service.
Also, Chief of the Yerevan Police Department Nersik Nazaryan or Chief of Military Police Vova Gasparyan are expected to be appointed Chief of the Armenian Police.
The Haykakan Zhamanak (New Times) newspaper reports that the former has higher chances.
New ministers of nature protection and health will be appointed as well.
According to the source, a relevant decision has been made, and the new officials will be appointed within a month.
