16 February 2010 [17:05] - Today.Az
Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mihman-Parast here on Tuesday called on both Russia and China to be realistic.
Talking to reporters during his weekly press briefing, he said making use of threat, sanctions and pressure against an independent country which is pursuing its legitimate rights is not acceptable.
On the current visit to Tehran of the Turkish foreign minister, he said Ahmet Davutoglu’s trip is in line with regular consultations between the two countries' senior officials and is focused on issues of mutual interest and the latest regional and international developments.
As to the approach of the United States regarding the Islamic and regional states, he said Washington’s approach has so far proved that it is not based on realities. The country does not pursue a correct route to solve the existing problems, he added.
Washington is trying to mislead the regional states from the real threat of the Zionist regime by expanding Iran-o phobia throughout the region, Mihman-Parast reiterated.
