Turkey's new ambassador to Ukraine met with Crimean officials and discussed bilateral relations and a mutual free zone in any future.

Development issues of the common cooperation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Turkey are discussed by the envoys, Crimean news agency said.

The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Turkey in Ukraine Ahmet Bulent Meric wass appointed to this post recently at the meeting in Aqmescit.

Beside Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Crimea Anatolii Hrytsenko, many officials from the Crimean party and Ukraine also attended the meeting.

Consul General of Turkey in Odesa Murat Tamer, as well as the Third Secretary of Embassy Enes Hol and Commercial Attache of the Consulate General of Turkish Republic in Odesa Kemal Gunay arrived in Crimea as a party of the Turkish delegation.

Meric expressed his opinion that it is necessary to set new tone for the international relations of Ukraine and the Turkish Republic. He noted that at the present issue on establishment of free economic zone between Ukraine and Turkey is discussing, which would benefit to the ARC.
