Iran Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki arrived in Kampala, Ugandan capital on Friday morning to discuss bilateral ties.
Expansion of bilateral ties, recent international issues and the role Uganda plays in east Africa's developments such as in Somalia will be discussed by officials of the two countries.
During his visit to Uganda, Mottaki is scheduled to meet with the country's President and Foreign Minister.
Uganda is a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council.
Mottaki will also travel to Kenya on Saturday to follow up agreements reached between Tehran and Nairobi.
