Brazilian businessmen visited on Friday a Turkish chamber of industry in the Aegean province of Izmir.
Brazilian businessmen, headed by Alcantaro Correa, the vice-president of National Confederation of Industry (CNI), had a meeting with Ibrahim Gokcuoglu, the deputy chairman of the Aegean Region Chamber of Industry (EBSO).
During the meeting, Correa said two countries were mainly trading tobacco, spare parts and iron and steel, and they should broaden the range of products in their bilateral trade.
Correa said Turkish and Brazilian businessmen should pay reciprocal visits more often.
Turkey and Brazil had a trade volume around 1.7 billion USD in 2008. Turkey earned 318 million USD from its exports to Brazil, and imported goods worth 1.4 billion USD from Brazil in 2008.
