Turkish President Abdullah Gul arrived in Islamabad, Pakistan for a four day formal visit.
State Minister Mehmet Aydin, Health Minister Recep Akdag, Agriculture & Rural Affairs Minister Mehdi Eker, several MPs, businessmen, journalists, academicians, and representatives from vocational organizations and NGOs accompany Gul during the visit.
Gul's trip covering Islamabad and Lahor will take place between March 30 and April 2nd.
Gul will meet with President Asif Ali Zardari, Premier Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani and other senior Pakistani officials.
Regional and global developments will be discussed during Gul's visit. Business Forum meetings will also be held within the scope of the visit.
Ways to promote economic and commercial relations through concrete projects in areas like construction, energy, tourism and defense industry, will be discussed.
Gul will also meet with local officials and leader of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz Sharif. Quaid-i-Azam University will give honourary doctorate to President Gul.
