Spokesman of the United States Department of State, Philip Crowley, said Friday the U.S. was pleased with Turkey's decision to send back Ambassador Namik Tan to Washington, D.C.
In a daily press conference, Crowley said that "Turkey and the U.S. had a strategic relationship".
There are many things we can do together with Turkey and the presence of the Turkish ambassador in Washington, D.C. will make our relationship more effective, Crowley said.
Turkey had recalled its Ambassador in Washington, D.C. Namik Tan after the Foreign Relations Committee of the United States House of Representatives adopted a resolution on March 4 that supported Armenian allegations regarding the incidents of 1915.
