The Russian capital Moscow for the first time hosted the Open Cup of KVN (Club of the Merry and Inventive) of the CIS states, devoted to 49th anniversary of creation of this popular game.
The action was organized by the ministry of sports, tourism and youth policy of the Russian Federation, the International Union of KVN, and Open SC "First Channel" with support of Interstate Foundation of Humanitarian Cooperation of the CIS states and the Press Club of the CIS, Baltic and Georgia at the Interstate Foundation.
Pre-jubilee game with participation of national teams of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, the Baltic States and the Russian Federation passed in Luzhniki.
Opening address was made by the President of the International Union of KVN, the permanent leader of KVN Alexander Maslyakov, who has congratulated all on significant date. Then, he announced jury that included known art workers of Russia, popular actors and TV presenters July Gusman, Alexander Shirvindt, Phillip Kirkorov, Igor Vernik, Michael Efremov, Leonid Yarmolnik, and Konstantin Ernest.
The national team of Azerbaijan included young KVN players from the teams "Baku Expromt" and "Qara Qizil”, and also the well-known representative from legendary "Guys from Baku" Bahram Bagirzade. The national team of Azerbaijan started with incendiary dances under rhythms of nagara, and in suits of men were girls.
Finally, when all teams were invited to the scene, the chairman of jury Konstantin Ernest announced that the Cup of KVN of the CIS states was won by the national team of the Baltic States.
Admirers of KVN will soon watch bright events – the ending of season of 2010 and KVN festival, start of which will be in Sochi on January 13, 2011.
