Tahir Amiraslanov, the president of the Azerbaijan National Association of Culinary, said on April 28 that the decision to hold the conference in Baku was passed in Sarajevo during the continental conference with representatives from 40 countries. Meanwhile, the Azerbaijani cookery team made an excellent performance in Budva, Montenegro during the International Food Championship on April 19-21. The participants of the national team - Azad Musabayli and Aliashraf Alishov won gold medals for Azerbaijan, Ramin Jafarli - silver medal, and Elnur Guliyev, Gulnara Aleskerov Dzharulla Dzharullazade - bronze medals. Tahir Amiraslanov was among the competition’s jury as a famous Chef. The World Association of Chefs' Societies or World Chefs in short, is a global network of chefs associations first founded in October 1928 at the Sorbonne in Paris. At that first congress there were 65 delegates from 17 countries, representing 36 national and international associations, and the venerable August Escoffier was named the first Honorary President of World chefs. Today, this organization has 100 official chefs associations as members that represent over 10 million professional chefs worldwide. The biennial congress is a hallmark tradition of World chefs and has been organized in over 20 cities across the world throughout its illustrious 82-year history. The World Association of Chefs' Societies (World Chefs) is a non-political professional organization, dedicated to maintaining and improving the culinary standards of global cuisines and Azerbaijan has a great opportunity to share its culinary masterpieces with the world.
