A ship of Azerbajan`s Ministry of Emergency Situations carrying
humanitarian aid has sailed to Tajikistan, whose Badakhshan province was
hit by a quake, under instructions of President Ilham Aliyev.
A ceremony to send the ship from Baku International Sea Trade Port
was attended by deputy minister of emergency situations Faig Taghizade
and first secretary of the Tajik Embassy in Baku Salimi Khaltoni.
The humanitarian aid was loaded on 11 trucks, and includes 9.5 tons
of sugar, 9.5 tons of granulated sugar, 15 tons of rice, 3 tons of tea,
more than 16 tons of vegetable oil, 19 tons of flour, 19 tons of
macaroni, more than 18 tons of vermicelli, 2000 sets of sleeping sets,
50 generators, 110 shelters, 6000 square meters of roofing slate, and 30
