Gobustan prison life-term prisoners Georgi Geladze, Ali Guliyev and Shakir Rzakhanov, who went on hunger strike not long ago, are complaining of pressure put by the prison officials.

According to APA, whenever they apply to the media about their problems they face pressure and torture. They are even made to file an application refuting their words after that.

The letter by prisoners reads if there appears any refutation, this should be regarded as the result of this pressure. The lifers said prison chief Sedaget Aghayev should be held responsible for any possible incidents and illegalities.

The Justice Ministry Main Office of Implementation of Verdicts department chief Rafig Ramazanov refuted the reports on any pressure against the lifers in the prison. He said these reports were dispatched when they were going on hunger strike in medical center of the prison. As coming to the prisoners, who are facing charges of grave crimes, demanding pardon, the department chief called this absurd.

"It means we have to apologize to them and release from Gobustan," he said.

We could not contact prison chief Sedaget Aghayev.
