Vugar Suleymanov, the member of Students' Rights Defender Committee told the APA that the students appealed to a number of parties to hold hunger strike last week and some of them agreed to it. The students decided to start the strike in the Musavat Party Office.

According to Suleymanov, 20 students will start the strike. The main demand is to ensure the students' transfer to other universities. He said that though they hold the strike in the opposition headquarters, they don't politicalize the problem. "We have no political aim in holding the action. We began the action 8 months ago. The reason of the continuation of the action in the Musavat Party Office is that we are not provided with the other place. We appealed to YAP but they refused," Suleymanov said.
