The members of Public Committee on Control of Penitentiary System established attached to Justice Ministry, Chingiz Ganizade and Seadet Benenyarli have been in Gobustan jail today, Chingiz Ganizade told.
He said that some prisoners appealed to committee. The working group composed of Ganizade and Benenyarli was established to investigate these appeals. "In this frame we were in the jail and met with the prisoners who appealed. They appealed to consider the substitution of their life prison with 15 year-prison. We took necessary notes and these notes will be discussed in the next meeting of the committee," he said. The working group will also visit detention ward 2 on December 16, to investigate the appeals, APA reports.
