"Doctors consider it is necessary to operate me. But they do not guarantee that I can shoot after the operation. Because, I am 49," said bronze medal winner of Athens Summer Olympics Irade Ashumova.

She explained her unsuccessful participation in the last world championship in Zagreb, Croatia, with health problem. She believes she can receive license for Beijing Olympics.

Ashumova is going to compete in international tournament in Germany to get a license.

Her niece Nigar Bagirova and Ruslan Lunyov are also among the competitors.

She also stated that she is going to join European championship in France on March 13.

"This tournament will grant 4 licenses for Beijing Summer Olympics. I'll have an opportunity to receive license in each of 4 stages of World Cup. The first stage will be held from March 31 to April 8 in the USA, the second from April 25 to may 3 in Australia, the third from May 4 to May 11 in Thailand and the fourth from May 28 to June 4 in Germany," she said.

Ashumova told APA that the last license tournament to Beijing Summer Olympics would take place in Spain from July 10 to July 25.
