Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry announced competition among journalists on the best articles, television report on ecological theme on June 5 - World Environment Day aiming to protect environment, natural resources, preserve biodiversity, raise public awareness.
The articles published and TV reportages in 2006-2007 are to be presented to the competition. Charming nature of Azerbaijan, its rich fauna and flora, natural resources, measures taken for ecological condition, existing problems and proposals for the solution of them, activity of state bodies and community in this direction and other information are to be reflected in the articles and TV reportages. The authors of the best articles and TV reportages written in ecological theme will be awarded on two nominations in the competition. 1st place will be awarded AZN 500, 2nd AZN 300, 3rd place AZN 200, Ministry's press service told the APA.
