Editor of Gundelik Azerbaijan newspaper Uzeyir Jafarov, who underwent assault by unidentified men, appealed to Prosecutor General Zakir Garalov fwith regard to the delay of the investigation into the case on assault.
The editor asked the Prosecutor General to give orders in connection with it. Yasamal district police inspector Rafig Aliyev told the APA the investigation continues. The editor said that he will appeal to YAP press secretary Huseyn Pashayev and Interior Minister Ramil Usubov. "They said that I was beaten on family dispute and have to answer for it," the editor told the APA. Yasamal district police office launched criminal case on assault on Uzeyir Jafarov on Article 132 (beating) of the Criminal Code.
