Article about Azerbaijan has been published in Israel's "24 hours" newspaper.
An article says Azerbaijani capital Baku has preserved its ancientness and contemporaneity. The author recommends Israeli tourists to visit Maiden Tower, Icharishahar (The Old City) and Carpet Museum, to taste Azerbaijani national cookery while visiting Baku. "If you have not gone to the tea-house while visiting there, you did not visit Baku. Azerbaijanis drink tea several times a day," it says Following this, large-scaled constructions in Baku and restaurants where businessmen meet are also stressed in the article. The author regards that Israeli tourists visiting Baku should also visit the northern region of the country Guba. "Ghirmizi gesebe (Red settlement) in Guba reminds the rich history of mountain Jews who played a great part in the development of the region. After Azerbaijan gained independence, a classroom was opened for teaching of Jewish and Jewish traditions. After the collapse of the USSR, majority of the village residents moved to Israel, Moscow, US and Germany. 4,000 people have been officially registered in the settlement," it says. APA
