Vagif Sultanov, officer of Azerbaijan's Communications and Information Technologies Ministry, told that the discussions are not targeted to pull the two broadcasters off the air but to prepare legal basis for continuation of their broadcasts in the territory of Azerbaijan.

He noted that Russia has to date adhered unilaterally to the intergovernmental agreement- Russian broadcasts come to Azerbaijan while Russia has not ensured that Azerbaijani broadcasts go in its territory, APA reports.

"As per the decision of the National Television and radio Council, Russia should ensure that Azerbaijan's broadcasts go on the air in Russia in exchange for its broadcasts in Azerbaijan. We this demand is met, there will be agreement," he added.

He noted that Turkey’s TRT also has to reach an agreement with Azerbaijan.

"A delegation will come to Azerbaijan to settle the issue," he concluded.
