The U.S. Embassy in Azerbaijan presented musical instruments of $5,000 brought from abroad to boarding school No 2, APA reports.
US ambassador to Azerbaijan Anne Derse addressing the presentation of musical instruments noted that music plays a great role in the people's lives and expressed her gratitude to the boarding school administration for help.
Azerbaijan Minister of Youth and Sport Azad Rahimov said Children’s Music Orchestra should attend one of the music festivals held in Europe.
“They should participate in such festivals. Our Ministry is ready to finance them,” he said.
Deputy Education Minister Elmar Gasimov gave proposal for holding a presentation of Children’s Music Orchestra in the Azerbaijan State Philharmony.
The orchestra has been operating since 1975. At present there are 285 children in the boarding school.
