Azerbaijani and Turkish Diaspora groups, operating in the United States, prepare to mark the 16th anniversary of bloody events in the Azerbaijani city of Khojaly in New Tork on February 23.
The press service for the State Committee for Azerbaijanis living abroad told Novosti -Azerbaijan that the event will be arranged by the US-Azerbaijani community, Council of US Azerbaijanis, Federation of Turkish-American circles, Turkish Students' Society.
Azerbaijani and Turkish students, studying in the United States, will take part in arrangements in the memory of the victims of the tragedy in Khojaly -"Khojaly-dead city" in the Turkish center, where they will be informed about Armenia's occupation policy, carried out against Azerbaijan, destiny of hundreds of thousands Azerbaijani refugees and internally displaced persons and Khojaly tragedy. The arrangement will be held in English.
There is a plan to hold a two-hour protest with participation of representatives of Azerbaijani diaspora groups on February 26.
