Mehman Aliyev, head of Turan news agency, started a hunger strike initiated by imprisoned editor-in-chief of Gundelik Azerbaijan newspaper Eynulla Fatullayev this morning.
The due announcement was made by M.Aliyev himself.
He said he holds the action demanding to release the imprisoned journalists.
"Journalists should not be put in jail for what they publish. I am against the imprisonment of journalists", M.Aliyev noted.
He said he holds the action in Yeni Musavat publishing house and will stay there till the evening.
It should be noted that imprisoned journalist Eynulla Fatullayev started hunger strike on March 26 with a demand to release thethree imprisoned journalists.
