Ombudsman of Azerbaijan Elmira Suleymanova has released a statement on the day of Shusha's occupation by Armenians on May 8.

The due announcement was made by the press service for Ombudsman's office.

The statement says that 193 people died and 102 were disabled during the Armenian occupation of Shusha. The Armenian occupants ruined and burnt 27 industrial and construction establishments, 102 cultural objects, 249 historical monuments and museums and so on.

"Armenians destroy graves, steal marble stones and monuments in the occupied lands of Azerbaijan and terminate woods and natural memorials in the occupied area", says the statement.

In her statement, the Ombudsman of Azerbaijan calls on the world society and leading international organizations to put an end to the long-lasting Armenian aggression against Azerbaijan, genocide of our citizens and assist to return of hundreds of thousands of Azerbaijanis to their native lands and restoration of their rights and liberties.
