A claim of Azerbaijan's former minister of health Ali Insanov against the verdict of the Sabail district court about rejecting his rank of an academician was considered by the Baku Appellate Court, presided by judge Tofik Samedov.
The due announcement was made by a source from the Appellate Court.
The claim fixes the request to recognize the decision of the Presidium as invalid.
The Appellate Court considered the claim to be groundless and upheld the decision.
It should be noted that on May 4 of 2007 by decision of the Presidium of the Azerbaijan's National Academy of Science, Ali Insanov was deprived of his rank of the full member of the academy. In this connection, Insanov's defenders filed a claim against the National Academy of Science, but the Sabail district court did not grant the appeal.
