The Azerbaijan's Court of Grave Crimes has finished a trial on the criminal case of cousins Ismikhan and Vusal Kerimov, who killed Namik Kurzali oghlu Musayev, senior authorized operations officer of the main department on combat with organized crime under the Interior Ministry.

According to Day.Az, the due information was made by a source from the Court.

In line with the court verdict, I.Kerimov is sentenced to 14 years of imprisonment and V.Kerimov to 13 years of imprisonment.

They are charged under articles 120.2.1, 234.4.1, 206.4 of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan .

The trial was presided by judge Mehti Asadov.

It should be noted that a clash occurred in November of 2007 between a group of persons, who attempted to smuggle drugs via the Azerbaijani-Iranian border, and policemen. As a result of it, law enforcement officer, Namik Kurzali oghlu Musayev, senior authorized operations officer of the main department on combat with organized crime under the Interior Ministry, was killed.
