A two day meeting of the international work group of the member-states of the Organization for Economic Cooperation on environment has started in Baku today.

The due information was provided by the press service for Azerbaijan's Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources.

The session is attended by representatives of Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

As is reported, the meeting is held by initiative of the Azerbaijani side and it is in fact the fifth meeting of the work group.

The session participants discussed plan of actions on cooperation between the OEC member-states until 2010, share views regarding ways of cooperation in the sphere of environment.

During the meeting, participants will make proposals on the projects, connected with ecological and other issues.

The session results will be considered at the meeting of the Ministers to be held in Islamabad (Pakistan) in November of 2008.
