One of the activists of the movement for rights of South Azerbaijanis Hasan Asadi, arrested by officials of Ettelaat Tebriz department on May 21, is subjected to brutal tortures in prison.
The due information was provided by Sadykh Isabeyli, chairman of the center of researches and information of the South Azerbaijan Independence Party.
He said Asadi was arrested for initiation of actions on the anniversary of bloody May events of 2006.
"Hasan Asadi is subjected to brutal tortures in the Tebriz jail and the main purpose of the Iranian mullocratic regime is his physical termination", noted Isabeyli.
He also stressed that Asadi is also accused of cooperation with the South Azerbaijan Independence Party.
He noted that Ettelaat officials continue to put pressure on Asadi's family.
