Chairman of the Institute for Reporter Freedom and Safety Emin Huseynov filed a claim against the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Nasimi district police station and 22nd police department of Nasimi, said a source from the Institute for Reporter Freedom and Safety.
Huseynov claims he was subjected to physical pressure by law enforcement officers as he was taking part in an action on the 80th jubilee of Cuban revolutionary Che Guevara.
According to the claim, a criminal case against his offenders has not been instituted though a month has passed since Huseynov was beaten. The claim also states the violation of articles 49, 47, 46, 71 of the Constitution of Azerbaijan.
The claim also voices request to the court to demand compensation in the amount of AZN 150,000.
