Roman Aliyev, director of Riga classical gymnasia, organizer of the Latvian center of Azerbaijani culture, doctor of pedagogical sciences, published a book on Azerbaijani history and culture "Labyrinths of Azerbaijani history" in Latvia, said Roman Aliyev personally.
"A book on history and culture of Azerbaijan, called "Labyrinths of Azerbaijani history", was published in Latvian language for the first time. The name was given not by accident. Information, available for the Latvian readers (internet, books and mass media) is too lopsided and not objective. Therefore, I have included the symbolical word "labyrinths" to the name of the book", said Aliyev.
Moreover, according to Aliyev, he tried to reveal some common features in the destiny of the Latvian and Azerbaijani peoples in several chapters of the book.
"The book reflects the diverse culture of Azerbaijan, Azerbaijanis, development of culture and religion-from the remote past to the really great epoch of the Azerbaijan People's Republic-stage of revival of state independence and freedom", said Aliyev.
