Azerbaijani film "Try not to breathe" has been awarded for the best direction at the Italian festival "Salento Finibus Terrae.
According to Day.Az, the international festival of short films Salento Finibus Terrae-2008 ended in Italy.
An Azerbaijani short film was also demonstrated among tens of films from France, Spain, Brazil, Canada and other states.
According to producer of the film "Try not to breathe" Aynur Mustafayeva, this work was marked by one of the most prestigious prizes of the festival. The director and author of the script Alina Abdullayeva was awarded for best direction.
The short "Try not to breathe" won the AVANTI contest, held under support of the Swiss fund, at the stage of the script. The film was shot on the basis of the producing center Dervish and awarded with two prizes: of the National film academy "Golden lamp" in the nomination "Best debut" and "For the best producing work" of the International audiovisual festival.
