The Sport Arbitrary Court again denied the appeal of the Azerbaijani side and did not remove the women hockey team of Spain, whose two players had their doping tests positive, from the lists of participants of the Olympic games in Beijing.
According to Day.Az, this time the appeal was filed against the Federation of International Hockey for not appealing against this disputable decision, adopted by its judicial commission. Arbitrary court considered that "FIH has not abused its powers by not disputing the said verdict".
Azerbaijan will be able to file another claim before Sunday, when the combined team of Spain will hold its first match during the Olympic games.
It should be reminded that the Arbitrary court did not accept the appeal of Azerbaijan as "it did not bear any relationship to the case of the Spanish hockey players, whose doping tests were positive during the Olympic qualification finals, and had no right to demand any changes in the said issue".
