The Baku Appellate Court considered the appeal of defender Elchin Sadikhov, filed against the decision of the Narimanov district court of Baku, reports Day.Az with reference to the Institute for reporter freedom and safety.
Thus, the appeal is filed due to the decision of the Nasimi District court not to grant a permission for meeting with Azadlyg newspaper editor-in-chief Ganimat Zahid to defender E.Sadikhov by the penitentiary system of the Ministry of Justice.
The Baku Appellate Court, presided by judge Ilgar Dadashev decided to dismiss the appeal of the defender. The court upheld the decision of the first instance.
It should be noted that defender Elchin Sadikhov filed a claim to the Nasimi district court as the penitentiary system does not allow him to meet with editor-in-chief of Azadlyg newspaper Ganimat Zahid.
