"99.4% crimes, committed in the armed forces of Azerbaijan were solved last year", said military prosecutor of Azerbaijan Khanlar Veliyev, speaking at the session of the collegium.
He said the combat with crimes in the armed forces, human rights and liberties protection was more effective in the reported period and persons, committing crimes were brought to responsibility.
"The number of crimes, committed in the army in 2008, dropped 7%. The number of crimes, committed against the military service, dropped 2.4%, the number of crimes, connected with willful desertion of the military unit 9.9%. The number of crimes, connected with abuse of powers has dropped 27.8%", noted Veliyev.
