The South Azerbaijan Independence Party has sent an appeal to US President Barack Obama due to discrimination of Azerbaijanis, residing in Iran, according to World Azerbaijanis Congress.
The appeal says that Persian chauvinist regime holds a discriminative policy in Iran and deprives Azerbaijani Turks of the right for language, education, culture and violates human rights.
"We would like to inform you about the fight of Azerbaijani Turks for freedom, democracy and human rights and we demand attention of the democratic states. We are the US friends and we are fighting for liberation of over 30 mln Azerbaijani Turks from Iranian rule", says the appeal.
