The presentation of the Association of Latin American Azerbaijanis was held in the National Museum of history of Mexico in the ancient castle Chapultepec, according to AzerTac.
At the ceremony the association president Natik Atakishiyev spoke of the goals and tasks of the new public formation and urged the young generation to take an active part in this structure. He thanked the embassy of Azerbaijan to Mexico and the state committee for work with diaspora for assistance in creation of the organizations.
Temporary plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan in Mexico Ilgar Mukhtarov voiced satisfaction on the occassion of the opening of the association and hope that it will promote development and strengthening of the comprehensive ties of Azerbaijan not only with Mexico but also with the countries of Latin America where our compatriots reside.
The presentation was attended by representatives of the ministries and structures of Mexico, members of parliament, diplomatic corps, as well as representatives of Turkish, Ukrainian and Jewish diasporas of the country.
